Dev notes
Keep controllers thin, move business rules into small classes, name things after what they do, write a test for every bug you fix and delete code you do not need.
I start every project with formatting, a test runner and a basic CI pipeline. It costs an hour and saves weeks later.
Show content quickly, load images lazily, cache what you can and give instant feedback on every click.
